Whether she’s negotiating a settlement, presenting oral argument in court, or drafting an appellate brief, Megan fights smart for her clients.

Before beginning her legal career, Megan gained experience in multiple industries.  She produced the world premiere of an off-Broadway play, provided research support to financial and legal professionals in global mergers & acquisitions, and worked as an analyst in merchandise planning and allocation at a Fortune 500 fashion retail conglomerate. As a result, she better understands her clients’ big picture business concerns.

While in law school, Megan was an Articles Editor for the Ohio State Law Journal and served as President of the Business Law Society. She also served as an extern for the Honorable Judge Michael H. Watson in the Southern District of Ohio, where she not only assisted on projects at the district court level but also for the 6th Circuit when Judge Watson sat on an appellate panel by designation. She earned CALI awards for excellence in multiple courses, including Legal Analysis & Writing II at Ohio State and Employment Law as a visiting student at the University of San Diego School of Law.

Megan’s insights on employment law and related topics have been published and quoted in many magazines and newspapers, including The Daily Journal, Law360, and The Daily Transcript, as well as industry-specific publications for the Craft Beer, Retail, and Hospitality industries. 

In 2019 and 2020, Megan was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star, a distinction awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys in San Diego.

Honors & Leadership

Professional Activities

Megan has been a member of the Lawyers Club since moving to San Diego and recently completed a three-year term on the Lawyers Club Board of Directors . A former Vice President of Programming, Megan has held multiple leadership positions in the organization. In particular, she has been involved in the Human Trafficking Collaborative (“HTC”), for which she and her former HTC co-chair accepted the 2018 Community Changemaker Witkin Award from the San Diego Law Library Foundation.  Through her involvement, she coordinated has helped to vet over a dozen bills to identify those in line with Lawyers Club’s mission to support the advancement of women in law and society; planned two legislative roundtables, gathering lawmakers at all level of government to identify effective solutions to human trafficking; coordinated the organization’s annual General Counsel roundtable luncheon; and co-chaired the 2019 Annual Dinner, which is San Diego’s largest bar organization dinner with over 700 attendees.  Megan currently serves as a liaison between the Lawyers Club and the San Diego Coalition for Reproductive Justice.

Community Activities

Megan volunteers as a pro bono attorney through Casa Cornelia Law Center. In her work, she assists victims of violent crimes and human trafficking who have provided assistance to law enforcement apply for U and T Visas.

Megan also serves on the Board for the La Jolla Playhouse Partners, a volunteer organization that provides support to San Diego’s Tony-award winning professional theatre, known for its productions of new works.
