Overview

Jennifer Carroll is a partner in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office and a co-chair of the Education Industry group. Jennifer’s practice is focused on the area of employment litigation, including all types of discrimination, FLSA and unpaid wage claims, FMLA, whistleblower, and restrictive covenant claims. She is experienced in all phases of litigation, including trials and appeals, and actively appears before state and federal courts in Florida. Jennifer has successfully tried numerous cases and achieved favorable summary judgment rulings on behalf of clients.

In addition to her litigation practice, Jennifer counsels employers on preventative measures. She conducts management and employee trainings, compliance audits and contract review and drafting. Jennifer is also experienced in pre-suit administrative proceedings.

Jennifer is a member of the Education Practice Group where she counsels independent and private educational institutions on employee, student and board matters, in addition to litigating matters on behalf of school clients.

Jennifer frequently presents at local and national conferences for various industry groups on employment issues, and regularly conducts management trainings.

Jennifer started her career as a litigator with a boutique litigation firm located in South Florida, where she handled complex commercial litigation matters, as well as the defense of employment related matters.
