Katherine “Katie” DiCicco, an associate in the firm’s New Jersey office, focuses on employment litigation in both federal and state courts, including claims of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Katie also regularly handles charges brought against employers in state and federal agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights.
Despite her extensive litigation experience, Katie’s philosophy is to keep clients out of court. To that end, Katie regularly counsels clients on day-to-day employment-related issues, conducts/oversees internal investigations, and drafts employment agreements, policies, and handbooks. Katie has counseled clients in a variety of industries, including PEOs, healthcare, retail, food service, construction, and manufacturing.
Katie also practices in the area of cannabis law as it pertains to the workplace. This includes providing guidance to employers on their drug-free workplace policies, drug testing policies and procedures, and reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities who use medical cannabis.
Katie has spent her entire legal career representing employers with regard to workplace law. Before entering private practice, Katie clerked for the Honorable Kenneth J. Grispin, P.J.Cv. (Ret. July 2018) and the Honorable Mark P. Ciarrocca, P.J.Cv., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Union County Vicinage.
