Overview

Jang Im leverages more than a quarter-of-a-century of experience when representing all types of employers, from rapid-growth startups to mature Fortune 500 companies, concerning all types of employment-based immigration matters.  From senior executives to critical employees, from immigration compliance to work authorizations, and from small employers to those employing hundreds of foreign nationals, Jang has seen and represented them all, oftentimes in connection with some of the most uniquely challenging immigration matters.

As an immigrant himself, Jang understands the concerns, complexities, and risks every foreign national employee and their employers face when entering the U.S. immigration maze. Born to Korean immigrants, Jang migrated to the U.S. as a toddler and began to develop an understanding of the issues at a very young age and in a very personal context. During his professional career, he worked six years in-house providing employment-based immigration support. This experience gave Jang first-hand insight into the demands and concerns associated with sponsoring foreign national employees, while also navigating the complex I-9 and E-Verify employment verification processes.

This combination of unique personal and professional experiences gives Jang a nuanced, holistic view of the entire employment-based immigration process. This broad-based perspective allows Jang to provide thorough, adaptable, and responsive immigration counsel to clients in just about every industry including hi-tech, finance, fashion, health care, life sciences, retail, hospitality, and services.

Dedicated to meeting tight deadlines that involve critical employees securing proper U.S. entry and work authorization, while also helping to reduce clients’ risk profiles, Jang has become one of the industry’s most sought-after immigration legal advocates.
