Tim Scott is a partner in the Firm's New Orleans and Boston offices. His practice emphasizes employment litigation, particularly discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and restrictive covenant claims. Tim has successfully handled a number of jury and bench trials, class and collective actions, arbitrations, and appeals.
Tim also provides practical, timely advice to employers on a day-to-day basis on issues relating to compliance with various state and federal labor and employment laws, as well as issues applicable to educational institutions.
Additionally, Tim handles traditional labor law proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), particularly union representation cases on behalf of management, and workplace safety and health matters involving the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Tim is a frequent speaker and trainer on a variety of employment law topics including wage and hour compliance, medical leave and disability laws, and harassment and discrimination claim avoidance.
Tim is a core member of the Firm’s Dealership Practice Group. In this regard, Tim represents and advises automobile dealerships across the country on labor and employment compliance issues. He has served as the General Labor Counsel for the Louisiana Automobile Dealers Association since 2006.
