Krista L. Hurst practices exclusively in the area of immigration law. For over 20 years, she has worked with in-house counsel and human resource professionals to define and implement comprehensive strategies for meeting their hiring needs – efficiently and effectively – through employment-based petitions and visas.
Clients rely on her in-depth analysis and insight into immigration trends, including legislative and regulatory changes to eligibility requirements, to plan and budget accordingly. She regularly guides both employers and employees, in a wide variety of industries, through the business immigration process, from hiring and international transfers to navigating the employment-based Green Card process to U.S. citizenship.
In addition, Krista also counsels companies on successfully navigating USCIS-issued requests for specialty occupation evidence, employer-employee relationships, and wage-level challenges. Further, she often assists clients facing Department of Labor audits on Foreign Labor Certification Applications and supervised recruitment.
