Patrick J. Collopy

Patrick also maintains an active employment litigation practice in state and federal courts across the country. He defends employers in class and collective actions, under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage laws, and in single-plaintiff actions involving claims of retaliation, wrongful termination, and discrimination. He regularly handles investigations and audits before federal, state, and municipal agencies.

Patrick’s practice also includes advising clients in a range of industries on compliance matters to avoid litigation, with a focus on issues implicating the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) in both union and non-union workplaces, wage and hour issues under both the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Colorado Wage Act, and compliance with the Colorado Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Act. 

Patrick serves as Legal Counsel to the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, where he is also a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

Before joining Fisher Phillips, Patrick practiced employment law in New York City with an emphasis on class and collective actions. Patrick earned his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
