Overview
Mihret Getabicha, an associate in Fisher Phillips’ Sacramento office, has a broad background in management-side labor and employment law, as well as immigration litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mihret practiced at several respected California law firms where she represented businesses in complex employment matters including class actions, PAGA claims, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination suits. Her litigation experience includes successful motions for summary judgment, compelling arbitration, and defending against administrative wage claims.
Mihret’s immigration law experience includes appearing before USCIS and immigration courts in humanitarian matters and litigating mandamus actions before federal courts in family-based and employment-based visa matters. She has advised employers on multi-state compliance regarding non-competition laws, drafted handbooks and policy manuals, and counseled clients through layoffs and administrative disputes.
