Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, announces the launch of a series of interactive Wage and Hour Maps to help employers keep up with the ever-changing wage and hour laws that vary state-by-state across the country. The Wage and Hour Maps are accessible on Fisher Phillips’ website here.
The first Wage and Hour Maps to launch, which are available free of charge, cover minimum period of advance notice before lowering compensation; final pay upon separation (whether voluntarily or involuntarily); and minimum wage. These maps are a precursor to the subscription-based wage and hour compliance tool that Fisher Phillips will soon launch. The compliance tool covers state wage and hour laws on more than 50 issues.
“Wage and Hour laws have emerged as one the most significant challenges for employers with multi-state operations,” said Kathleen McLeod Caminiti, co-chair of Fisher Phillips’ Wage and Hour practice. “Between unprecedented litigation and government regulation, compliance with changing state and local laws is more important than ever. Our interactive maps provide employers with easily accessible wage and hour information that is relevant to and impacts their business operations and day-to-day workplace polices.”
Hagood Tighe, co-chair of Fisher Phillips’ Wage and Hour practice, added: “Our Wage and Hour Maps provide a great overview of what employers need to know right now in their jurisdictions. Laws are quickly changing and can be incredibly nuanced, so getting a quick understanding and working with legal counsel is critical to reducing the risk of becoming a target of wage and hour litigation.”
The Wage and Hour Maps are one of several new technology-driven tools Fisher Phillips has rolled out for clients and the public. It comes on the heels of the launch of the firm’s redesigned website and complements the firm’s COVID-19 Employment Litigation Map and Pay Equity Map.
