Overview
Sheila Abron is a partner at Fisher Phillips and one of a select few attorneys in South Carolina certified as a Specialist in Employment and Labor Law by the South Carolina Supreme Court. She represents companies and educational institutions of all sizes — navigating the full spectrum of employment issues including hiring, discipline, workplace investigations, employment discrimination, Title IX compliance, and unemployment matters. She also provides advice and counsel on AI bias audits and validation studies, helping clients manage the emerging legal and regulatory considerations surrounding artificial intelligence in the workplace.
As Chair of the firm's Government Contracting, Compliance, and Reporting Practice Group, Sheila brings deep proficiency advising federal contractors on affirmative action obligations, OFCCP regulations, and audits. Her practice also includes significant experience handling collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and wage and hour class actions under state law. On the education side, Sheila counsels colleges, universities, and K-12 schools on Title IX compliance, including investigation procedures, grievance processes, responding to complaints of sexual harassment and misconduct, and navigating the ever-evolving regulatory landscape governing educational institutions. She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), reflecting her commitment to higher education clients.
