
Overview
Garrick Chan is Of Counsel in the firm's San Francisco office. Garrick’s practice focuses on defending employers of all sizes in wage and hour class and collective actions, California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims, and individual discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims. In addition to defending clients in litigation, Garrick frequently counsels employers on finding solutions to mitigate legal risk and business disruption relating to topics such as hiring/terminations, accommodations, leaves of absences, drafting/updating internal policies and procedures, and workplace safety issues.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Garrick defended clients at two AmLaw 100 firms in San Francisco in employment law and products liability. More specifically, Garrick counseled on issues arising under state and federal laws including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and breach of warranty claims.
During law school, Garrick was a judicial extern for the Honorable Holly J. Fujie of the Los Angeles Superior Court and served as president of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. A native San Franciscan, Garrick is fluent in Cantonese Chinese.
