Sheila Abron, partner in Fisher Phillips’ Columbia office, is the latest attorney to be certified as a Specialist in Labor & Employment Law by the South Carolina Supreme Court. Sheila joins seven other attorneys in the firm’s Columbia office who have achieved the certification, making Fisher Phillips home to over 10% of the state’s Certified Specialists in Labor & Employment Law. In South Carolina, a limited number of lawyers are recognized as Certified Specialists in Employment & Labor Law by the South Carolina Supreme Court. To achieve this certification, lawyers must meet specific requirements, including a minimum of five years of practicing law, at least 35% of their practice is dedicated to employment and labor law, substantial experience in specific areas of the field, at least 60 hours of continuing legal education classes in employment law, a thorough written application, a passing score on a written examination, and much more.
