Virtual Office

The Virtual Office is a permanent, fully integrated practice model composed of experienced attorneys who work remotely and focus exclusively on representing employers in employment law matters. It is designed to provide flexibility and work-life balance while maintaining the Firm’s high standards of client service and legal excellence.

The Virtual Office includes two attorney roles: Counsel and Special Counsel. Both are remote, non-partnership-track positions focused on practicing employment law.

Both roles share the same core structure, including centralized work assignment and no business development expectations. The primary distinctions relate to level of experience and in-person involvement:

• Counsel:
  Designed for experienced employment law attorneys who prefer a fully remote role. Counsel typically have mid-level to senior experience and are generally not expected to handle in-person case events, with little to no business travel.
• Special Counsel:
  Intended for more senior, highly experienced employment law attorneys. Special Counsel roles are mostly remote but include limited business travel and responsibility for handling in-person case events (such as depositions, mediations, or hearings) when necessary.

No. Virtual Office roles are intentionally not on the Firm’s partnership track and are designed for attorneys who want to focus on the practice of law without additional partnership-related obligations.

Virtual Office attorneys focus exclusively on representing employers in employment law matters, handling a wide variety of substantive matters and collaborating across the Firm’s practice offices.

Work is assigned through a centralized intake and distribution model managed by Virtual Office leadership. Attorneys are not required to source their own work.

Virtual Office attorneys have flexibility in setting annual billable hours targets based on individual work-life balance needs. There is no separate non-billable hours requirement.

Attorneys collaborate with Virtual Office colleagues, partners and attorneys across the Firm, and are supported by leadership, administrative professionals, and litigation paralegals.

Virtual Office attorneys receive the same benefits as partner-track attorneys and have full access to the Firm’s technology, systems, and support resources.
