
Overview
Sophia represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including single-plaintiff matters involving discrimination, sexual harassment, hostile work environment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She also defends employers against wage and hour class action claims and representative action claims under the Private Attorneys General Act. In addition, Sophia assists employers with compliance and prevention, including wage and hour compliance, employee handbooks, personnel policies, and employment and severance agreements.
She earned her J.D. from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law where she served as a member of Pepperdine Law Review. During law school, Sophia competed in International Moot Court and earned a certificate from the well-respected Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
Sophia also externed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit for the Honorable Sandra Segal Ikuta where she gained insight into several complex employment issues and strengthened her legal research and writing skills.
