Public Sector Labor Relations

Overview

Overview

Unlike its traditional private sector counterpart, public sector labor relations are governed by a diverse framework of state and local regulations. Our public sector labor attorneys have deep experience working with elected officials, public bodies, and state labor boards to maintain amicable labor relations. In some jurisdictions, safety-sensitive and other fields are generally prohibited from striking, in which case our public sector practitioners are adept at presenting client proposals to arbitrators appointed to resolve bargaining impasses.
