Leanna Ruotanen, a partner in Fisher Phillips’ Atlanta office, has more than a decade of litigation and counseling experience, representing clients across industries in litigation and OSHA matters arising out of worksite accidents.
A significant part of her practice involves defending companies in catastrophic construction and workplace accident cases nationwide. Leanna is one of the few practicing attorneys in the country who is also a certified mobile crane operator, giving her an unparalleled perspective when advising and defending employers in crane, rigging, and heavy equipment litigation. This hands-on experience enables her to anticipate issues, understand technical industry standards, and deliver highly effective, nuanced strategies in high-stakes cases.
Leanna has defended businesses in more than a dozen states, handling high-exposure claims ranging from construction defects and premises liability to professional liability and trucking and transportation matters. She is regularly called on immediately following workplace incidents to manage accident investigations, develop defense strategies, advise on OSHA compliance, and protect client interests from the inception through trial.
Leanna has built a reputation for her proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach. She has also served as a certified arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas’ Compulsory Arbitration Program, where she helped resolve disputes efficiently and fairly.
