John Orr focuses his practice on defending employers in employment litigation matters, such as sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination. John also counsels high level executives and employers on a variety of personnel matters including termination and dispute decisions, non-compete and solicitation issues, and fiduciary duties.
John has experience in federal and state courts and is familiar with relevant statues and laws, including Title VII, FMLA, 42 USC 1983, and 42 USC 1981.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, John worked for a national litigation firm where he defended healthcare providers, nursing facilities, and addiction treatment centers in malpractice and tort litigation. He routinely counseled healthcare industry clients with respect to risk-management and compliance issues. His practice also included defending insurers in payor-provider disputes.
