Overview
With fifteen years of labor and employment law experience, Jayme advises employers on all federal and state employment laws, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and Title VII. Jayme also handles matters relating to employee relations, wage and hour issues, and exemption and compensation analysis. Additionally, she conducts trainings, policy compliance and other critical employee issues.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Jayme was most recently General Counsel for a large school district in St. Louis, Missouri where she advised over 75 schools, 20,000 students, and 3,500 employees on various labor and employment matters, including compliance issues in regard to FERPA, HIPPA, and ADA and FMLA. Jayme was also the lead negotiator for labor management and negotiations with multiple labor organizations. Jayme worked for a large St. Louis law firm doing labor and employment defense litigation prior to going in-house.
Jayme is an Adjunct Professor at both Saint Louis University School of Law where she teaches education law to 2L and 3L students, and Avila University, where she teaches Law and Policy to aspiring school leaders and superintendents.
