Overview

Ariella Kupetz is an associate in the Los Angeles office, where she represents employers in all areas of labor and employment. Ariella also advises employers in compliance and preventative strategies, including providing advice on the status of changing laws, employer policies and procedures, employment and severance agreements, and drafting and updating employee handbooks.

Ariella earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and her J.D. from U.C. Hastings College of the Law.  

While in law school, Ariella served as an extern to the Honorable Paul L. Abrams of the United States District Court. Ariella received significant hands-on experience in litigation and employment law, participating in the UC Hastings Workers’ Rights and Wage Claim Clinics. During law school, Ariella competed on the nationally-ranked Moot Court Team and served as the Executive Notes Editor of the Constitutional Law Quarterly.

  • Defeated class certification in wage and hour case where employees sought millions of dollars in damages for a security company’s alleged failure to compensate for all hours worked, including overtime and vested vacation time; to grant rest and meal breaks; and to provide accurate wage statements.
