
Overview
Amanda is an associate in the firm’s Portland, Maine office where she defends employers against a wide range of labor and employment-related claims, and provides advice on human resources related matters.
Before law school, Amanda was the Director of Human Resources at a large resort in Maine, where she oversaw employee onboarding and offboarding, benefits, employee relations, training, worker’s compensation, and risk mitigation and safety. Prior to moving into the human resources team, Amanda held multiple marketing positions with the same resort and its parent company, which owns resorts around the U.S. Immediately prior to law school, Amanda acted as an Employee Relations Consultant for a large financial firm and later held internships with the United States Attorney’s office for the District of Maine, as well as two of the largest employers in Maine. Amanda’s background in human resources and loss prevention enables her to deliver advice and representation that is grounded not only in the law, but also in a practical understanding of day-to-day operations, especially for resorts and other seasonal employers.
