Overview
Alonso De la Vallina advises domestic and international employers on labor and employment matters in Mexico, with a focus on litigation and dispute resolution. He represents companies in contested labor proceedings and counsels employers on the day-to-day management of their workforce under Mexico’s reformed labor justice system.
Alonso has represented employers in hearings and litigation before both the Conciliation and Arbitration Boards and the labor courts established by Mexico’s 2019 labor reform. His litigation work includes statements of defense, the submission and objection of evidence, interlocutory motions, direct and indirect amparo actions and related appeals, and responses to ordinary and extraordinary labor inspections. He coordinates local counsel in states across Mexico for matters outside Mexico City and supervises junior associates and law clerks on active litigation.
