89.3 KPCC interviewed Davis Bae on how employers should prepare for additional ICE raids. Employers may not even realize they have undocumented workers. He suggests employers do two things.
- Create a protocol so if ICE does show up, they do not become overly intrusive to the workplace.
- Do an internal review to identify where you might have people without documentation. Try to find a solution as humanely as possible. If you can’t find a solution to correct the workforce, then at the very least make sure your I-9s have met the standard for the government.
