PHILADELPHIA (March 30, 2021) – Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, announces the addition of Deniz Uzel Reilly as an associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office. She joins shortly after the firm announced the arrival of Brian Casal as partner in Philadelphia.
Reilly joins from a national law firm and adds to Fisher Phillips’ rapidly growing employment litigation and counseling team in Pennsylvania. As an employment litigator, she defends employers of all sizes against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, whistle-blowing, and wage and hour disputes in the workplace. Reilly has represented clients before state and federal courts, in arbitration, and before various state and federal agencies, including the EEOC, the Department of Labor, the PHRC, and the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights. In addition to her litigation practice, she frequently counsels employers, serving as a key contact for management and HR on workplace-related decisions and best practices for hiring, firing, discipline, and accommodations. Deniz prepares employment policies, contracts, and handbooks, and advises employers on such policies, workplace investigations, and other related employment issues.
In support of her litigation and counseling practice, Reilly regularly conducts training sessions for her clients, ranging from management training to company-wide training, addressing emerging workplace issues such as social media and privacy in the workplace, conducting workplace investigations and performance reviews, the #metoo movement, discrimination and harassment, medical marijuana, wage and hour basics, and workplace violence and emergency situations.
Before going into private practice, Reilly served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Thomas L. Ambro of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and held a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Raymond A. Batten, Presiding Chancery Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court’s Atlantic and Cape May Vicinages. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Widener University, Delaware Law School and her B.A. from Muhlenberg College.
Fisher Phillips has experienced steady growth across Pennsylvania over the past six months. The firm recently announced the arrival of Brian Casal as a partner in Philadelphia and Brian Balonick, who joined the firm’s Pittsburgh office as Regional Managing Partner. James Glunt joined at the end of 2020 as a partner in Pittsburgh, and Raeann Burgo and Erica Wilson joined as of counsel and associate, respectively. Karen Odash and Stephanie Robin recently joined the firm’s Philadelphia office as first-year associates.
