California Partner Profiled by Law360: Trailblazing Arab American Women in Law

In an interview with Law360, Hannah Sweiss shares her personal narrative as an Arab American attorney.

As a first-generation American, Hannah said she saw law as a tool for self-empowerment. “Going to law school was an opportunity for me to have a voice, for me to ensure equality and justice.”

Hannah, who is also president of the Arab American Lawyers Association of Southern California, shared that Fisher Phillips has been supportive of her and other Arab American attorneys.

“What's nice about being at a big national firm is that there are more people of a similar background,” she said. “We actually have several Arab Americans in my firm, which is so awesome. We've really made a lot of efforts, but there's a strong sense here, if you want to build and further community internally, please do.”
