California Companies Feel Impact of CCPA Laws

In a recent interview with the Orange County Business Journal, Usama Kahf, partner and head of Fisher Phillips’ CCPA Task Force, provides insight into how companies are complying with California’s new personal data collection laws. Usama says that the state’s attorney general is focused on privacy now more than ever because of the COVID pandemic and notes that while not all offenders may get caught, enforcement may be focused on companies who sell customer information. He recommends that companies of all sizes review their data collection practices as soon as possible.
