Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to welcome Edward Schenk as a partner in Raleigh, North Carolina. His arrival marks the firm’s continued strategic growth in the region and strengthens its ability to serve clients across North Carolina and beyond.
With nearly 25 years of experience defending and advising employers in employment matters nationwide, Edward counsels businesses, owners, and executives across industries—including financial services, healthcare, clinical research, construction, technology, hospitality and manufacturing—on state and federal employment law, discrimination and retaliation claims, wage and hour compliance, corporate malfeasance, reductions in force, disability accommodation, and executive compensation.
Edward also has significant litigation experience – from single-plaintiff to complex, multi-party cases (including collective and class actions) in state and federal courts, Edward guides clients through every stage of litigation, including appeals. He also has substantial experience in matters involving employee defection, trade secret misappropriation, business torts, and restrictive covenant disputes, and defends employers before administrative agencies such as the EEOC and Department of Labor.
“Edward’s experience advising companies, executives, and business owners across a wide range of employment issues – combined with his background handling collective and class actions – enhances our ability to provide sophisticated, high-level counsel to both local and national clients with business interests in North Carolina,” said John Polson, Chairman and Managing Partner of Fisher Phillips. “He brings a deep bench of experience in employment and business litigation that aligns seamlessly with our core strengths and his addition represents a significant opportunity to further build out our presence in the Raleigh market and continue our strategic growth across North Carolina.”
Edward earned his J.D. from Campbell University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
