Overview

Mary Grace Miller counsels and represents businesses in connection with labor and employment issues and disputes arising from all aspects of the employment relationship. In so doing, she keeps clients’ overall objectives top of mind and prioritizes open communication to keep her clients current on developments at every stage of the litigation and obtain the best results possible.

Before joining Fisher Phillips, Mary Grace practiced in the Richmond and Charlotte offices of a national litigation defense firm, where she counseled employers on a range of workplace issues and defended clients in state and federal court.  She has significant experience defending claims brought under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and state wrongful termination laws. Mary Grace also has represented companies and executives in general business disputes and contractual matters.

As a former Assistant Attorney General for the Virginia Office of the Attorney General, Mary Grace served as counsel for the Virginia Department of Corrections.  As part of the Correctional Litigation division, she was responsible for defending the agency against constitutional claims brought in state and federal courts. 

Mary Grace previously served as staff attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and law clerk to the Honorable John A. Gibney, Jr., of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
