Overview

An associate in the firm's Los Angeles office, Drew Tate defends businesses against wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, and other employment-related claims brough as class and collective actions, California Private Attorneys General Act suits, and/or single-plaintiff cases. He also provides day-to-day advice on a wide range of labor and employment issues. 

Drew strives to optimally position clients and communicate important developments to help them make the best, fully informed decisions. He has a keen appreciation of business realities, collaborates to anticipate potential problems, and aims to resolve issues early so that clients can get back to business. An aggressive litigator, Drew fiercely defends employers’ interests in court and arbitrations. His clients include food processors, manufacturers, restaurants, healthcare providers, defense contractors, and PEOs.

Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Drew worked at a prominent Sacramento litigation firm, where he defended public entities in civil litigation and public and private employers in employment litigation.

While at law school, Drew served as a judicial extern to Judge Barbara M. Scheper on the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles and as a law clerk for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority in both Chicago and Los Angeles. Additionally, Drew served as the Senior Notes Editor for the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy.
