Tampa Chamber of Commerce finding a more outspoken voice with new leader

Steve Bernstein was quoted in the Tampa Bay Business Journal article “Tampa Chamber of Commerce finding a more outspoken voice with new leader.” Steve is the new chairman of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and believes hi organization is increasingly playing a larger role in the region.

“We are very interested in continuing to grow our voice for businesses, including small business,” said Bernstein.

The chamber will get involved in a number of issues this year including, transportation, a baseball stadium, and workforce development.

“We have to make sure we have a steady supply of technically skilled workers,” Bernstein said.

The chamber also created a Minority Accelerator Program which fulfills the inclusiveness goal that the chamber described in its 10-year plan.
