San Francisco Attorney Discusses Sexual Harassment in Restaurant Industry
In an interview with Edible SF, San Francisco associate Kasia W. Nowak discusses the recent uptick in inquiries from restaurant employers regarding sexual harassment in recent years. Kasia says she is beginning to receive more calls from clients about what to do to avoid a sexual harassment complaint. Kasia encourages employers to call for a consult if there’s any doubt.
Kasia also dives into the California law regarding sexual harassment training, but she notes that anti-harassment training is an ongoing process that goes beyond training requirements. “The training may be a way to open a dialogue about what is not permitted under the law and what is not tolerated in a workplace,” she says.
