Most Employers Failed to Comply With Federal Injury Reporting Rule

News

3.08.18

Travis Vance is quoted in the Bloomberg Environment article “Most Employers Failed to Comply With Federal Injury Reporting Rule.” The article discusses the lack of compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s new rule requiring employers to electronically submit their annual injury and illness log summaries.  According to employers, there are several factors that contribute to them not submitting, like the submission deadline being pushed back multiple times.

Another reason is that “Most employers also don't agree with the rule's provision of posting the data online,” Travis states.
