Los Angeles Managing Partner named to Client Choice Awards
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 26, 2015) – Fisher Phillips announced today that Los Angeles managing partner Todd Scherwin has been named a recipient of the 2015 Client Choice Awards. These awards recognize partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client service they provide.
In his role as managing partner, Scherwin has been a leader in hiring and nurturing new talent while also securing high-profile lateral hires. The Los Angeles office recently expanded its facilities under Scherwin’s leadership.
In his practice, Scherwin litigates single plaintiff employment matters as well as wage-hour class actions in state and federal court. Scherwin also handles matters before federal and state administrative agencies, including the Department of Labor, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
In addition, Scherwin provides employment-related counseling to clients and speaks to employers and related groups about labor and employment issues, focusing on harassment, discrimination and retaliation matters, along with wage and hour issues. He also lectures in the Human Resources Management Program at California State University Long Beach, teaching California labor and employment law.
Scherwin was selected for inclusion in the Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2012 and 2013 and was named to the Southern California Super Lawyers list in 2014. He was also included on The Recorder’s Lawyers on the Fast Track list in 2013. He earned his juris doctor from the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in Political Science with honors from the University of California, San Diego, where he played college baseball. During law school, he served as an extern to the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew of the United States District, Central District of California.

Uniquely, these awards survey senior corporate counsel only, with this year’s winners chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments.
