Labor Talks Resume, But Strikers Hunker Down


Kevin Troutman was quoted in the Houston Chronicles on February 2, 2015. The article “Labor Talks Resume, But Strikers Hunker Down” discussed the strike against five plants in the Houston area.       

Kevin was quoted on the message the strike is sending.

The strike could be a way the union is sending a message to its members that it's doing something proactive, said Kevin. But he questioned the timing.

"It's not a great time for the union to strike," Kevin said, referring to the recent and dramatic fall in oil prices. "Companies don't have the money like they once did and are more likely to dig in their heels."
