Global Immigration Co-Chair Discusses Immigration Developments that Employers Should Expect Under the Biden Administration

News

11.18.20

In an interview with SHRM, Davis Bae weighs-in on the developments that employers can expect in immigration law under President Biden. One of the developments discussed in the article is President-elect Biden’s proposal to provide foreign graduates of U.S. doctoral programs a green card with their degree. Davis explains that “[a]utomatically granting green cards to doctoral program graduates will not only greatly reduce the number of applicants waiting for adjudication of their green card petitions, it would act as an additional incentive for the best and brightest foreign students to pursue their studies in the U.S. and to stay in the country to benefit the economy after they complete their studies.”
