Fisher Phillips Regional Managing Partner Appointed 2019 Chair of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce

FORT LAUDERDALE (January 2, 2019) – Fisher Phillips today announces that Suzanne Bogdan, Regional Managing Partner of the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, has been elected to serve as 2019 Chair of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. She will serve a one-year term that began on January 1, 2019.

In the volunteer position, Suzanne will work closely with fellow Chamber leaders and local business leaders to help determine priorities and implement strategies for connecting, enriching and expanding Fort Lauderdale’s business community. Suzanne has been involved with the Chamber for many years, having served nine years as its general counsel, and in 2017 and 2018 as the Chair-Elect-Designate and Chair-Elect, respectively.  In 2014, she was the recipient of the Chamber’s Chair Award in recognition and appreciation of her outstanding leadership and dedicated volunteerism. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce is the largest business organization in Broward County, Florida with 1,300 members employing nearly 500,000 people across the region.

At Fisher Phillips, Suzanne advises and represents clients in all aspects of employment law and risk management, including discrimination, disabilities, leave, wage and hour, preventive maintenance and numerous other issues.  She is also the nationwide Chair of the Firm’s Education Practice group, working with hundreds of private educational institutions, accrediting agencies, and school associations. 

Suzanne earned her J.D. at the University of Miami School of Law summa cum laude. She has been recognized locally and nationally for her work, including being named a South Florida “Top Lawyer” by South Florida Legal Guide, selected to The Best Lawyers in America guide and listed in the 2012 edition of South Florida’s Top Rated Lawyers, presented by Legal Leaders. Just last year, she was selected as a 2017 Influential Business Woman by the South Florida Business Journal.
