Fisher Phillips Partner Named to Georgia Trend "Legal Elite"
ATLANTA, GA (December 8, 2009) - Fisher Phillips Partner D. Albert Brannen has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the Georgia Trend "Legal Elite" for 2009. For the past seven years, Georgia Trend magazine has polled thousands of attorneys across the state to recognize attorneys in several practice areas. Brannen was recognized for his labor and employment practice.

His focus is advising employers how to stay union-free and in assisting employers with the administration, negotiation, mediation and arbitration of collective bargaining agreements. Much of his time is devoted to counseling employers about how to avoid workplace crises, comply with applicable laws and prevent litigation. He works with clients to prepare all of the documents associated with the employment experience, including employee handbooks, employment contracts, ethics and confidentiality agreements, non-competition or non-solicitation agreements, and severance agreements.
Brannen has been repeatedly named a "Georgia Super Lawyer" in Employment and Labor Law and is listed in the 2010 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. He is the current Chairman of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and is active in several other business organizations.
Brannen has taught labor and employment law as an associate professor at Georgia Tech since 2002 and his recent pro bono activities include work for the Good Samaritan Health Center and Heart for Africa.
