Fisher Phillips Partner Named to Advancement Council Board Of University of Akron School of Law
LOUISVILLE, KY (May 19, 2011) - Fisher Phillips Partner Jeffrey A. Savarise has been appointed to the Advancement Council Board of the University of Akron School of Law.
The school's Advancement Council Board serves as the primary advisory body to the School of Law. Those selected to the Board provide the dean with advice and assistance, offering a variety of perspectives and experience to advance the school's quality and standing. Board members will serve as liaisons between the practical work and academia of the school of law, and are expected to assist as speakers, serve as student mentors and encourage alumni participation, among other duties. Savarise received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the school in 2009.
Savarise is chair of the Automotive Manufacturing Practice Group at Fisher Phillips. He practices exclusively in the areas of labor and employment law on behalf of employers, where he handles cases in a number of state and federal jurisdictions. He also provides a variety of preventive maintenance and employment training programs geared toward the automotive industry.
