KANSAS CITY (August 24, 2020) – Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, announces the addition of Laura Bailey Brown as Of Counsel in the firm’s Kansas City office.
Laura focuses her practice on defending employers in a variety of complex employment law matters including discrimination, harassment, retaliation and breach of contract. As a skilled trial attorney, she has experience in all phases of the litigation process and has represented clients before federal, state and administrative tribunals.
“We’re thrilled to have a lawyer of Laura’s caliber join our team,” said Jim Holland, Regional Managing Partner of Fisher Phillips’ Kansas City office. “Her litigation experience is a great complement to our office’s existing capabilities, and her arrival not only benefits us locally, but it also benefits the entire firm to have someone like her available to assist clients across our national platform.”
Laura honed her litigation skills while serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the Agriculture and Environment Division of the Office of the Missouri Attorney General. She went on to gain more valuable experience at a prominent Missouri law firm and most recently as a partner at a reputable firm in the Detroit metropolitan area.
Laura has been recognized by Super Lawyers in the category of “Employment Litigation” from 2017 through 2020.
