7.9.18

SAN DIEGO (July 9, 2018) – Fisher Phillips announces that Partner Danielle H. Moore has been named chair of the firm’s Development Committee. The Development Committee works closely with the firm’s marketing department to lead institutional efforts in branding, marketing and business development. Danielle will co-chair the committee for a six-month transition period with Partner James J. McDonald, Jr., who has served as chair since 2004. She will assume full duties on Jan. 1, 2019.

“When looking at candidates, we wanted to select a leader who has demonstrated a commitment to the firm and to its advancement and development,” said Roger K. Quillen, chairman and managing partner of Fisher Phillips. “Danielle is prepared to build on the great work that Jim McDonald has done for the firm during his tenure as leader. Danielle’s experience as co-chair of the firm’s Women’s Initiative and Leadership Council will set her up for great success in this new role. We are proud to have her leading the committee forward.”

A partner in the firm’s San Diego office, Danielle represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation and wage-and-hour class action lawsuits. She also counsels clients on employment handbook and personnel policy preparation and general preventive advice including hiring, discipline and termination practices. In 2013, Danielle co-founded the Women’s Initiative and Leadership Council, a firm-wide initiative to advance and develop the role of women in the firm and in the legal profession, and she continues to serve as co-chair.

“I am honored and excited to take up this position. Jim has done a marvelous job in the role for nearly two decades. Under his leadership, the committee, has helped establish the firm as one of the most respected in the industry,” said Danielle. “Jim will continue to be a trusted advisor and influential voice for the committee, and together, we will continue to build upon his work.”

Jim added: “It has been an honor to work with the firm’s Development Committee all these years, but I know that the group will continue to help grow the firm with Danielle at the helm. She’s a terrific choice to lead this important group.”

Danielle has been the recipient of several awards in the regional and statewide business and legal communities. In 2018, she received the Lawyers Club of San Diego “North County Service Award.” Danielle was a finalist for San Diego Magazine’s “Woman of the Year” in 2016 and was selected to the publication’s “Top Lawyers” list from 2014 to 2016.

Outside of her legal practice, Danielle teaches an employment law course at San Diego State University and serves on the university’s Human Resources Advisory Board. She has also served on the board of directors for the Lawyers Club of San Diego and as president of the Lawyers Club’s North County Chapter. She was recently invited to membership in the American Employment Law Council. Danielle received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School (2004) and her B.A., with honors, from the University of Southern California (2000).
