Yikes! New Laws and Decisions Require Reviewing Your Handbooks, Rules and Disciplinary Processes

Event

7.23.15

Please join Fisher Phillips attorneys, Howard Mavity and Ted Boehm, for the Gwinnett Chamber’s Human Resource Management Association (HRMA) on July 23, 2015.

Yikes!  New Laws and Decisions Require Reviewing Your Handbooks, Rules and Disciplinary Processes
As the song goes, “the times they be a changing.” The Obama Administration is going out with a bang rather than a whimper. Recent months have seen near endless attacks on Employee Handbooks and rules, a startling change in the salary test for being exempt from overtime, expanded whistleblower provisions, and  the so-called “blacklist” Executive Order for government contractors, the “Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces Order.”

We’ll review changes needed in your Employee Handbooks and numerous other procedures, as well as tips on safely counselling and disciplining employees. Finally, we’ll highlight steps you should take in anticipation of the wage-hour changes and other requirements in the pipeline.

Visit the Gwinnett Chamber’s website to register.
