Will The Real Independent Contractors Please Stand Up? We’re Going To Have A Problem Here…

Date and Time
11:45 A.M - 1:15 P.M.

444 South Flower St. Suite 1500

Join us for lunch and a discussion on a hot HR topic. This complimentary event is a great opportunity to network and talk with other HR professionals and our lawyers in an informal and collaborative setting to get the information you need to stay in the know.

The California Supreme Court has made it more difficult for employers to classify workers as independent contractors. The Court’s decision in Dynamex outlined a new “ABC” test to determine whether contractors are properly classified as such.  This presentation will explain the new test and also highlight the liability that can result from improperly classifying employees as contractors, including wage and hour liability, unemployment and withholding tax audits, as well as civil penalties.

Join Fisher Phillips attorneys, Todd Scherwin and Ashley Attia, on June 13, 2018 to learn the information that every employer needs to know about independent contractors in the workplace.
