The Oregon Legislature just burdened employers with one of the biggest administrative headaches since FMLA – the introduction of mandatory paid sick leave. But besides this new law, the legislature was busy passing other bills that will be sure to impact your workplace: a “ban-the-box” law that will prevent you from asking applicants about their criminal backgrounds, changes to non-competition law, wage and hour retaliation, and much more.
