Nordic HR Legal Seminar on Hiring and Restructurings in the Nordic Region
Fisher Phillips invites Human Resource Professionals, in-house counsel and others in the New York City area who have responsibility for employees in the Nordic region to a join us on June 30, 2015 for a breakfast and seminar presented by IUNO, a leading law firm in Copenhagen, Denmark. The program, co-sponsored by Fisher Phillips, will focus on Hiring and Restructurings in the Nordic Region. The venue is the highly regarded Nordic restaurant Aquavit.
During the hiring process, many corporations face potential legal pitfalls limiting, permitting and/or barring the recruitment or compensation and benefits strategy. Similarly, when restructuring, organizations will have to navigate their way through a number of hurdles in relation to employees.
A panel from law firms in four Nordic countries will guide participants through the key legal considerations surrounding recruitment, hiring and restructuring in the Nordic region while identifying effective human resource management strategies to help achieve corporate goals.
During the seminar, you will get valuable information on the rules in each of these Nordic countries related to the most important aspects of the recruitment and restructuring process, including the different types of employment, restrictions on the hiring process, ability to collect information, as well as methods for determining the correct employment terms and conditions. Attendees will also learn which elements are fundamental in a redundancy procedure, including both trade union consultation and employment protection.
The panel includes:
Pål Kvernaas (Haavind, Norway)
Åsa Erlandsson (Setterwalls, Sweden)
Jari-Pekka Alho (Krogerus, Finland)
Anders Etgen Reitz (IUNO, Denmark), who will moderate the seminar.
