
Overview
Stacy Slaughter is an associate in the firm’s Dallas office and defends employers in workplace-related disputes in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, including, but not limited to, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). Stacy has experience handling matters involving Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act (TCHRA) violations. She also advises employers on policy development, employee handbooks, and training programs. Additionally, she develops strategies to minimize legal risks and promote compliance with various state and federal employment laws including, but not limited to, Title VII, the ADEA, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the TCHRA, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Chapter 451 of the Texas Labor Code.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Stacy was an associate at a Texas-based law firm where she represented employers in various labor and employment law matters.
During law school, Stacy was a citations editor for the Texas A&M Law Review and received the Hagler Institute for Advanced Study HEEP Graduate Fellowship.
