
Overview
Nakota Wood defends employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters, including worker’s compensation, drafting and revising employee handbooks, and advising on workplace policies under federal and state employment statutes, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VII.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Nakota was an associate at a regional law firm where she represented employers in all aspects of employment-related claims.
During law school, Nakota was a notes editor for the Memphis Law Review and a moot court board member. She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Chief Magistrate Judge Tu M. Pham of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee and as a student law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee.
