Overview
A partner in Fisher Phillips’ Atlanta office, Laura Denton is an accomplished labor and employment attorney who helps businesses and governmental entities navigate workplace challenges with confidence and clarity. She represents employers in federal and state courts, defending against individual claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment matters.
Beyond the courtroom, Laura serves as a trusted advisor on day-to-day workplace issues. She conducts sensitive internal investigations, delivers interactive training programs, and provides strategic counsel on employment policies, compliance, and risk management – always with an eye toward preventing disputes before they arise.
Laura has secured favorable results for clients in high-stakes litigation, including cases involving the ADA, ADEA, Title VII, FMLA, and constitutional claims. Her clients value her practical approach, deep understanding of both public and private sector workplaces, and ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance.
After graduating first in her class at Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, Laura began her career clerking for Judge Clay Land in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. She joined Fisher Phillips in 2025 after practicing for 14 years at Elarbee Thompson in Atlanta.
