
Overview
Kazuma Higuchi has deep experience helping businesses navigate the complex intersection of local labor and employment laws and global corporate standards. The founder of Higuchi & Partners, LPC, an independent law firm in central Tokyo, he advises U.S. and multinational companies operating in Japan, as well as Japanese businesses expanding into the Americas, on a wide range of employment and compliance issues across borders.
A licensed attorney in both Japan and New York, Kazuma’s international practice grounded in strong academic and practical foundations. Since passing the Japanese bar in 2000 and joining the New York State Bar in 2008, he has built a career spanning employment law, corporate and M&A, commercial transactions, dispute resolution, and inheritance matters.
Kazuma is an active member of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, Tokyo Bar Association (TBA), American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and International Bar Association (IBA). He currently serves as Chair of the International Committee of the TBA and previously represented Japan as National Representative of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).
