Overview

Cheryl Blount, a partner in Fisher Phillips’ Houston office, is a seasoned litigator who represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment disputes including labor arbitrations, workplace discrimination claims, allegations of retaliation, and breach of noncompetition agreements. Having served as both first and second chair in trials and arbitrations, she brings strategic insight and deep procedural knowledge to every stage of litigation, from early case evaluation through trial and appeal.

Before joining the firm, Cheryl practiced in the Houston office of an international Am Law 50 firm, where she focused on labor, employment, and commercial litigation. She also gained extensive experience in general civil litigation while working at several boutique firms, honing her skills across a diverse spectrum of legal matters.

Cheryl earned her J.D. from Baylor Law School, where she served as an Articles Editor and Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. She interned for Judge Nancy F. Atlas of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and for Chief Justice Nathan Hecht of the Supreme Court of Texas.
