Amelia Kitchens
Associate
Overview
Amelia Kitchens defends employers ranging from Fortune 500 corporations and regional businesses to non-profit organizations in the full spectrum of labor and employment disputes. With five years of litigation experience, Amelia handles matters involving discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage and hour claims under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and the Kentucky Civil Rights Act. She helps guide national and global employers—including those in the software, hospitality, and retail sectors—through all phases of agency investigations, administrative proceedings, and litigation, with a particular focus on resolving EEOC and state agency charges at the administrative level and minimizing clients’ litigation exposure.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Amelia served as a senior associate at a national defense firm, where she was the primary defense counsel for major employers in employment litigation and administrative proceedings. She previously represented both employers and employees at a regional firm, giving her valuable perspective on risk assessment and resolution strategies that inform her current defense practice.
