Overview
Alissa Kranz is an attorney in the Tampa office of Fisher Phillips and advocates for employers in a variety of complex workplace-related matters. Alissa represents clients of all sizes and across multiple industries, including retail, healthcare, financial services, construction, technology, and energy. Her experience includes litigating and arbitrating collective and class actions, as well as single-plaintiff claims; providing advice and training to employers on day-to-day issues; and developing and reviewing handbooks. Alissa’s primary areas of focus include wage and hour litigation, trade secrets, and employee defection. As a former Division I athlete, she thrives on competition and remains calm under pressure.
Alissa most recently served as a shareholder and one of the founders of a boutique law firm based in Tampa, Florida, where she represented both employers and employees. This unique perspective allows Alissa to analyze issues from multiple angles to develop strategy and help her clients work toward their goals. Alissa also has experience as an outside general counsel to several startups and small businesses, which has garnered her broad experience advising on workplace and other issues. Prior to founding her former firm, Alissa clerked for the Honorable Susan C. Bucklew of the United States District Court in and for the Middle District of Florida.
